The spa is located in a historic underground complex on Mariánské náměstí.
In Žilina, a city that boasts a unique atmosphere of peace and freshness, residents and visitors alike can escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life – even on hot summer days when temperatures outside exceed 30 °C. All oak tubs and bathtubs are meticulously handcrafted in our workshop in Vlachovice from premium wood, carefully dried and processed according to time-honoured methods.
These spas serve as a practical illustration of our work, seamlessly integrating traditional cooperage techniques with modern wellness and natural treatments.
About us
Fryzelka Cooperage is a traditional family cooperage founded in 1928 in the Wallachian village of Vlachovice. The fourth generation of our family continues the craft that has been passed down from father to son. Every day, we build on the legacy of our ancestors – honest work with wood, which has always been based on quality, patience and respect for the craft.
In over 90 years of existence, we have built a reputation as a trusted Czech manufacturer. We pride ourselves on the first-class quality of every barrel and vat that passes through our hands. Everything is handmade using traditional cooperage techniques and only the finest materials. This means you can rely on our products – they are functional, durable and beautiful to look at. Customer satisfaction is always our top priority, so we treat every order individually and with care, as if it were for ourselves.

We are a family-run cooperage based in Wallachia and the largest of its kind in the Czech Republic. The craft of cooperage has a tradition here dating back over 90 years, passed down from generation to generation. We exclusively utilise natural materials such as oak, larch, and acacia wood, sourced from winter harvesting. These materials undergo a gentle drying process without the use of chemicals. Each piece is designed to minimise its impact on the environment while serving for generations.
